Management Responsibility

Stace Heckart is the Division Tank Manager at MMI Tank & Industrial Services. His responsibilities include new business development, overseeing production activities & maintaining quality standards, planning & managing department budgets, and executing project work plans, identifying resources required, directing project management team, enforcing company policies and procedures, and managing risk.


Stace Heckart joined MMI in 2017 with 25 years of Tank Construction and Repair experience. Prior to joining MMI, Stace directed the operations and development teams for two well-established tank companies. He has experience in the Oil & Gas, Power, & Mining industries on both capital and maintenance projects. He has managed numerous high-profile and schedule-driven projects throughout the United States. He is well trained in API 650, API 653 & AWWA construction of aboveground storage tanks.

Key Project Experience

  • Managed an API 653 project for Basin Electric replacing shell/roof plate, all structure & floor plate on a 180’ dia. Tank in the middle of winter in North Dakota and finished 2 weeks ahead of schedule.
  • Led a project takeover deploying a crew within 2 days to meet nearly impossible schedule for Phillips 66 on a 100’ x 48’ API 650 tank.
  • Managed 10-15 ethanol projects simultaneously in various locations with a workforce of over 400 boilermakers.
  • Stace has managed projects for: Sinclair Refinery, Chevron, Marathon, BP, Phillips, Kiewit, FMI, Basin Electric, Cetane Energy, and Separation by Design, El Paso Electric, Southern SRP, APS, Lauren Engineering and many others.
