High Standards in UL-142 Tanks
The National Fire Prevention Association, or NFPA, is serious about their UL-142 tanks standards, for pressure vessels that hold flammable and combustible liquids. These engineering standards are rigorous, and the challenge might be enough to scare off some manufacturers, but not us.
Here at MMI Tank and Industrial Services, we don’t back down from a challenge and we sure don’t take risks when it comes to safety and precision. Constructing superior tanks is our specialty and we have the training, knowledge, and experience necessary to fabricate UL-142 tanks that are flawlessly up to code. In fact, Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) inspects each of our tanks and approves each of our UL-142 tanks before it is sent to the customer.
Some elements of this strict code include:
- Construction materials
- Fittings
- Venting
- Access openings
- Ladders/stairs
- Paint
We recently shipped 2 horizontal 50,000 gallon double walled, cylindrical tanks. Each had a diameter of 14-feet-wide and were 40 feet long. These large tanks shipped with all of their official labels and signage’s, ready to be installed and put to immediate use.
We can construct tanks in whichever configuration (such as rectangular, round or cylindrical, single or double walled) that meets your facility’s needs. You can choose the orientation of your tanks and we will build them to meet the NFPA standards and your needs.
Unlike some manufacturers, we see our work through from start to finish. Once we have constructed your steel UL-142 tanks to the height of UL-142 codes, we then check for leaks or structural weaknesses before we install your new equipment. And we can do regular inspections once your tanks are in use.
We leave nothing to chance because we know that if you want something done right, you do it yourself.
MMI Tank and Industrial Services is your best bet for superior UL-142 tanks. We know that safety and functionality are your top priorities and it is our job to provide you with that.
Make no mistake, we are good at what we do.
